REPORTS:
Writing is a skill for communication for conveying ideas and feelings from one person to another. This can be done by writing reports, notices, messages, paragraphs and letters. A report is a short writing skill describing some event or incident.
Joints to be kept in mind :
- A report is a first hand information about an incident, occurrence or event.
- It must be brief, to the point and systematic.
- It must be written in past tense.
- It must be given a suitable heading or title, the name of person writing it, date and the place from where it was written.
- The report should be simple. Exaggerations and superfluous matter should be avoided.

The NSS Unit of D.A.V. Sr. Sec. School G.T. Road, Panipat organised a blood donation camp in the school Auditorium on 5 th of March, The Chief Medical Officer inaugurated the camp. A team of doctors from the civil hospital was present in the school. Ninety students donated the blood on this occasion. The Principal honoured the blood donors with a memento and a certificate.

A terrible train accident took place between Sealdah Express and the Golden Temple Express at 8.30 a.m. about 40 kilometres away from Lucknow. Both the trains collided head on. About 100 people died on the spot. Many more were seriously injured. The natives of the nearby villages helped the victims.

A team of about 150 volunteers of our school participated in the “Clean Delhi Campaign” in the last week of June. Rallies and marches were organised to make people aware about cleanliness.

Our school organised a literacy camp from 14th May to 23rd May. One hundred volunteers took part in this camp. Every volunteer was assigned the duty of teaching one illiterate person. Books, note-books, pen and pencils were provided to the illiterate persons free of cost. The programme was fully successful.
