The Desert Summary in English

A desert is believed to be dry, hot, waterless and endless stretch of sand. It can also be a beau¬tiful place. During rains its flowers can bloom and give a beautiful sight.

A desert can consist of mountains, hills and oasis. Oasis gives life to the desert. Some deserts which are compeletely without water, have formed sanddunes.

Animals and plants found in desert have adapted themselves to the less water conditions. Camel known as the ship of desert has adapted to the conditions. Camels do not need to sweat. Smaller desert animals burrow the underground during hot day and get moisture from the meat they eat.

In desert areas dryness and variation of temperature are very common. The moisture in the air acts as a blanket. But in deserts this layer of blanket is absent. So desert should be taken to be useful part of the earth.

एक मरुभूमि (रेगिस्तान) को सूखा, गर्म, एवं जलहीन व असीमित रेत का विस्तार माना जाता है। यह सुंदर भी हो सकता है। वर्षा के दौरान मरुभूमि में फूल खिल जाते हैं और बहुत ही सुंदर दृश्य प्रदान करते हैं।

एक मरुभूमि में पहाड़, पहाड़ियाँ एवं मरूद्यान होते हैं। मरुद्यान मरुभूमि को जिंदगी प्रदान करते हैं। कई रेगिस्तान जो बिना पानी के हैं, वहाँ पर रेत के टीले बन जाते हैं।

यहाँ पर पाए जाने वाले जानवरों और पौधों ने अपने आप को कम पानी की स्थिति में भी ढाल लिया है। ऊँट को रेगिस्तान का जहाज कहा जाता है। ऊँट ने अपने आप को इन परिस्थितियों में पूर्ण रूप से ढाल लिया है। उनको पसीने बहाने की कोई जरूरत नहीं होती। रेगिस्तान में पाए जाने वाले छोटे जानवर गर्मी में धरती के नीचे रहते हैं और जानवरों के मांस खाकर नमी प्राप्त करते हैं।
